Wow! How lucky we are, for, we exist in this world in human form! But
what use of it, if we don't find the reason behind existence. We simply
born and die, is this what our existence meant for?
If it is so, then
what is the difference between animals and human? Believe me, each human has
some reason behind existence. If we see from the spiritual point of
view, the main aim of human existence is "Atmano mokshartham, jagat
hityacha" (self liberation and doing good to the world), but here I
don't say from spiritual point of view as I know nothing about
spirituality. But let us have a look from the humane point of view- When
we try to search for the reason behind existence we find that we are
born for some great deeds. Are we not ? Yes, we are. Great responsibilities are given to us. Let us
find it out and work for it. Here we may be in dilemma, which work has
to be completed by us? Let me tell you, everyone is born for some specific
reason, one must find out that reason and put all his energy for it, for
we are capable of doing anything we strive for. This strive or zeal is
what has produced great personalities like Sachin Tendulkar, Albert
Einstien, A. R. Rahaman, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam etc. They realized their potential, discovered their zeal and worked on it
and that's how they're what they are today. Similarly, we choose our
goal in life and we thus become what we want- Doctor, Engineer, Teacher
etc.
That is the professional part behind our existence. But apart from this,
there is a humane side of our existence, too. That is to work something
humane, something that satisfies our inner self, without any
expectation in return. As Swami Vivekananda said - "If you have come to
this earth, leave some mark behind", we need to do something that can be
considered as a mark.
Doing selflessly for others, loving everyone eventually just as we love
our dear ones, thinking good for everyone around (if not, not thinking
bad), wishing everyone their best from heart are things that can push us
on the way to leave a mark that never washes away. As human, we tend to
be result oriented all the time and this mentality is a bar to achieve
our humane goal in life. 'Being unselfish' - that's the idea. It doesn't
mean that we won't think of our good, we of course will work for
ourselves, but not every time we will do so. We need to find a balance
between our personal / professional and our humane life. Once this
balance is made and we start actioning accordingly, all will be framed
automatically.
The reason for our existence is not only to feed ourselves for timeless
age, that's all is this article about. We won't continue living
throughout ages. We have limited time with us and in this span we have
to chalk out what we can leave for the generation behind us. 'Live and
let live' is still fine, but we have to go one step ahead and make our
motto: "Be happy and make others happy." That is when the motto of our
life will be fulfilled.
We indeed, are not human if we don't do something humane.
Jayatu Swamiji!
Awesome Sanu, You have chosen a very valuable topic which is really the demand of today's life as We forget to do something Humane along with Our Professional life. So we must remember this "Atmano mokshartham, jagat hityachaand" and help others too to follow it in their life.
